Hard Anodizing ANODIKIT® HA

A complete “turnkey” installation

ANODIKIT® HA is the result of our experience based on more than 20 years working with hard anodizing.
ANODIKIT® HA materializes the concept of a MODULAR hard anodizing plant where the customer can incorporate the latest technological advances such as the sealing with GLIDECOAT® or the obtaining of anodic layers with a low roughness coefficient. [Explore the ANODIKIT® Concept]

Alsan Know How

Alsan Alsan offers a KNOW HOW that allows applying the technology of hard anodizing on alloys of the series 2000, 5000, 7000, etc.
Our KNOW HOW, based on our experience and continuous research, includes the following items.

  • Training of your personnel in hard anodizing technology (current application, electrolyte formulation, etc.).
  • Quality Control.
  • Masking.
  • Assembly systems applied to the pieces of your production.

Models and measures

We have two standard models of ANODIKIT® HA depending on the length of the tanks.

ANODIKIT® HA 250
ANODIKIT® HA 450

Our ANODIKIT® HA Our ANODIKIT® HA are supplied with Rectifiers from 250 to 20,000 Amps and with 40 and 60 volts DC.

GlideCoat is a new generation sealing process that allows obtaining anodic layers with low friction coefficients.

It has its origin in the so-called “LOTUS EFFECT” from the lotus flower, which is able to keep its leaves clean thanks to its hydrophobic properties, i.e., they have a certain impermeability. This is why water droplets run off of the leaf surface as if they were mercury drops, sweeping away dust and dirt.

Features of GlideCoat

  • Low friction coefficient: friction coefficients less than 0.08-0.13 according to ASTM D 1894 standard.
  • Increase of abrasion resistance (ASTM D 4060 / ISO 7784/2).
  • Compliance with the standard MIL-A-63576 type I.
  • Anodic layers repellent to water and dirt.
  • Good sealing quality: ISO 2413 / ASTM B680, ISO 2413.
  • Excellent resistance to chemical agents and corrosion.

Properties of hard anodizing

Hard anodizing is an electrochemical process in which the exposed aluminum surface turns into aluminum oxide and becomes part of the aluminum alloy structure itself. This process takes place in special electrolytes based on sulfuric acid generally at low temperature (0 to 5°C) thereby achieving a very hard and compact layer with a number of special technical properties.
